It was the most wonderful time of the year, McRib season. To celebrate the return of the fan-favourite sandwich, McDonald’s teamed up with Tommy to turn the McRib into a TikTok star. The result? A branded effect that’s as iconic as the sandwich itself.

The brief was simple: bring the McRib to life in a way only TikTok could. The solution? McRibYourself – a surreal, saucy transformation filter that invited fans across America to step into the McRib’s now-dancing shoes and experience the sandwich from a whole new POV.

Live on TikTok, the effect taps into the platform’s love for weird, joyful, highly shareable content. From brainstorming to design, we built an effect that puts users at the heart of the product.
